- Medication information — names, dosages, schedules, and reminders you enter
- Dose history — when doses are marked as taken, skipped, or missed
- Profile details — birth year, gender, and city provided during setup
- Caregiver contact — phone number if you connect a caregiver
- Device information — device model, Android version, and app version
- Usage data — which features you use and when
How we use your information
- To send medication reminders and dose notifications
- To calculate adherence and provide progress insights
- To send caregiver alerts when you connect a caregiver
- To find nearby pharmacies and health facilities
- To improve app performance and fix issues
- To comply with legal obligations
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect biometric data
- We do not collect financial or payment information
- We do not collect real-time GPS location continuously
- We do not access your contacts, messages, or call history
How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information only with:
- Cloud infrastructure providers to host the app securely
- AI services that receive only medication names (not your identity) to generate wellness tips
- Caregiver alert services that receive only your caregiver's phone number
- Authorities when required by applicable law
Data security
Your data is protected with 256-bit encryption in transit and at rest, stored on certified enterprise cloud infrastructure with strict access controls.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time. After account deletion, data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correction — update incorrect information in My Profile
- Deletion — delete your account and all associated data
- Portability — export your dose history as CSV (Premium)
Children
PillCare Reminder is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child without consent, we will delete it promptly.
Compliance
PillCare complies with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act), the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and equivalent data protection frameworks globally.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. The latest version is always available at this page.
